1. Product and Service Description

The Services may include:

  • Memberships
  • Digital tools
  • Administrative coordination
  • Communications
  • Document handling
  • Support services
  • Related offerings described on the checkout page or in your service plan

The exact scope of Services depends on the product or membership purchased.


2. Price and Billing

The total price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and applicable taxes will be disclosed before purchase.

You authorize NYCEP and its payment processors to charge the payment method you provide for the amounts disclosed at checkout, including recurring charges where applicable.


3. Auto-Renewal Disclosure

If your purchase includes a subscription or recurring membership, it will automatically renew until canceled, unless otherwise stated.

New York law requires clear and conspicuous disclosure of automatic renewal terms and a cancellation method that is simple and easy to use.


4. Cancellation Method

You may cancel using the method disclosed at signup, in your account, or by contacting NYCEP using the information provided below.

Unless otherwise stated, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.


5. No-Refund Disclosure

All flat fees, membership fees, administrative fees, coordination fees, and third-party costs are non-refundable once earned, incurred, reserved, or processed, except where a refund is required by law or expressly authorized in writing by NYCEP.


6. Payment Authorization

By purchasing, you authorize recurring or one-time charges to your selected payment method for the amounts disclosed.

If your payment method is declined, reversed, or otherwise fails, you remain responsible for the outstanding balance.


7. Chargeback Notice

Before initiating a chargeback, you agree to contact NYCEP so we may attempt to resolve the issue.

Improper chargebacks may result in:

  • Suspension of Services
  • Termination of access
  • Lawful collection efforts

8. Service Activation

Services may begin immediately after:

  • Payment confirmation
  • Account creation
  • Document submission
  • Any other condition disclosed at checkout

9. No Insurance Disclaimer

Homeowner Shield™ and any related membership product are:

  • Not insurance products
  • Not guarantees of relief
  • Not substitutes for legal, financial, property, or housing insurance

10. No Legal Advice / No Attorney-Client Relationship

NYCEP does not provide legal advice.

Your purchase does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Any attorney coordination, referral, or support service is separate from legal representation unless you enter into a direct written agreement with an attorney or law firm.


11. Third-Party Vendor Disclaimer

NYCEP is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, failures, pricing, policies, availability, or decisions of:

  • Third-party vendors
  • Processors
  • Carriers
  • Platforms
  • Service providers

12. Limitations on Outcomes

NYCEP does not guarantee any outcome relating to:

  • Rent recovery
  • Housing assistance
  • Dispute resolution
  • Administrative requests
  • Collections
  • Negotiations
  • Compliance matters
  • Court proceedings

13. Collections

Past-due balances may be referred to a collection agency or legal counsel where permitted by law.


14. Arbitration and Governing Law

Except where prohibited by law, any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration and not by class or collective action.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
